The Boyfriend Who Tried To Give Me HIV

Image
I moved to London in the summer of 1994. I met a Guy in The Father Red Cap who introuced himself as John who said he was a year older than me. I ended up going back to his place in Tulse Hill with him and after a couple of weeks we started out in a "relationship" After a few weeks I realised John only wanted me for drug money after he frog marched me to the Post office with my Giro. Why I was attracted to him in the first place is the question One night we came home from the pub and he wanted to fuck me I said OK as long as he wore a condom. He didn't wear a condom I realised a few minutes into it that it didnt feel right so I asked him to withdraw. It a fucking good job I realised he was fucking me bareback as I also later found out John was HIV positive. He was a born LIAR he lied about his Status, His Age (He was 29 not 22) & He LIED about his drug usage. It was only when he introduced me to his drug dealer that I...

Be Careful What You Fist For

Image
I've had lots and lots of great sex over the years. When it comes to the subject of Fisting I've had my hand up someones arse more times than I care to count. In 2009 a guy wanted to "Break me in" so I agreed as long as he took it slow. I soon regretted it the day after when my arse was mega sore. I had a slight bleed a few days later and I became worried. I started getting a stabbing pain in my anus in 2010 which after a camera up my arse was diagnosed as Proctalgia. Theres a slight tear in the wall of my anus which was sustained when the guy went to Fist me. I've taken BIG cocks and never sustained an injury it took someone fisting me for me to become Injured Let this be a warning for anyone thinking about being Fisted IF you don't get the right guy doing it it can lead to injuries such as this. Or Worse you c...

Sport And Shorts (At The Stag Victoria)

Image
In 1999 an acquaintance and I hosted a Gay Sports Kit Night over the Easter Bank Holiday at The Greyhound in North London. We'd met a few weeks earlier in a bar where we'd both worn Football shirts and we got chatting. You didn't see many Gay blokes out in the late 1990s in Football kit. Sadly I have NO pictures from the first Sports Kit night We had about 10 people turn up to the first one and it was a great night one guy travelled all the way from Manchester for it. One guy showed up in Tennis Kit and another in Swimming trunks which gave us all a Laugh. We wanted to make it bigger & started asking Gay venues in central London if we could host a Sports Kit night. Step foward Steve the manager from the Stag Victoria we asked and he said yes and it all grew from there. We had someone in advertising who helped out with Posters and Flyers for the promotion. ...

Legends Manchester & The Outpost

Image
In the summer of 2001 a Gay night club opened in Manchester in what used to be the Rockies Manchester building on Whitworth Street. Legends was opened by Julia Grant whose name used to strike the fear of God into some people in the Gay Village. I can still hear her booming voice "Hello Luvvies" If you were a regular in Manchester's Gay Village you’ve most likely been in one of her venues or been barred by her Julia Grant died on the 2nd January 2019 at her home in Spain At first Legends didn't really get that many customers on Friday and Saturday nights but towards the end of 2001 it started taking off. Legends and the Hotel above were snatched off Julia Grant by a Gangster who took over Julia's venues Lock Stock and Barrel in 2002. Julia Grant was forced to leave the UK and went to live in Spain & started running a hotel (The Queens) Afte...

Club SOP WS Club For Men!

Image
Now I've had a love of Piss Play from an early age ever since I pissed over myself in the bath when I was about 14. Gay guys used to freak out when I mentioned WS Once spent the night in Barcode in Soho asking guys to fill my water bottle up with piss that freaked a few guys out! In 1999 I saw an advert in QX magazine which piqued my interest for a Gay Watersports Club called P.I.S (Pleasure in Streams) When I say Watersports I don't mean Kayaking or surfing! So I went to Central Station in Kings cross to experience the first piss fest. I wasn't disappointed I was dressed in my Leeds Kit and it got very WET. The crowd were friendly and everyone had lots of fun. A few years later the name was changed to SOP (Streams of Pleasure) The club is a no attitude venue and the crowd are always Friendly. I haven't been for a few years but I see that the club is always busy these da...

Fat Barry At The Father Red Cap (Camberwell SE5)

Image
In the early 1990s I wanted to escape my home town for my own personal safety. It wasn't easy growing up Gay in a very Homophobic backwards town. I wrote letters from Jobclub to bars in London listed in Gay Times asking if they had any jobs. In the end I got 3 replies: First one was from a bar in the West End saying they had no jobs but wished me well. Second pub had a Job as long as I could start before the beginning of August but had no accomodation. Third letter was from Mr Barry Bainbridge at the Father RedCap 319 Camberwell Road SE5 saying they had accomodation. So I took the room at the Father Redcap and the Job at the other pub in North London I moved into a room on the top floor (The top window on the corner) and paid £25 p/w for a box room with no lockable door. The Father Redcap was a rather lively Gay pub. With regular cabaret acts and a late night licence. That's If...

You Can't Kiss Your Boyfriend In Here

Image
I've suffered with lots and lots of Homophobia in my years of being OUT as a Gay Man. You have to understand that my Hometown IS VERY HOMOPHOBIC. Realising you're Gay at an early age in a Homophobic town can make life quite difficult. I was OUTED by a DJ when I was 14 at an under 18's disco He had no idea how much GRIEF that caused me afterwards! The "Gay Boy" comments never went away I was still experiencing homophobic insults in my 30's from Idiots from my past. Seems my Sexuality ruined a lot of childhood friendships people stopped talking to me. Jason who was supposed to have been my best friend at Nursery/Infants/Junior School flipped out when he became aware of my sexuality He was the last person I'd expected Homophobia/Abuse from. In One of the Homophobic attacks I had my nose broken by a punch from behind as I was walking home (Aged 14) Quite the...

Rockies Sheffield (The Forgotten Gay Nightclub?)

Image
I was reminded about a pub I used to frequent in the city of Sheffield recently. The Cossack on Howard Street (Now Demolished) was the first Gay Venue I was ever taken to followed by a pub called The Albert Which is where I saw my first ever male stripper and drag artiste. Don't like strippers the baby oil stains your shirt if you get too close So it got me thinking about Rockies the nightclub that I was introduced to in November 1989 Rockies was a Gay Club and you didn't dare mention your sexuality for fear of being beaten up by some Homophobic THUG. Queer Bashing was common in the late 80s. The late 1980s & early 1990s were an Awful time to be growing up as a Gay man. Section 28 didn't help matters. So much rampant Homophobia and Abuse from people I never really expected to get it from Rockies Sheffield was sister club to Rockies Manchester owned by a guy called Michael Snailham. The club was housed in the former...

35 Years Out And Proud (My Gay Anniversary)

Image
In 1987 a DJ thought he was being clever at an Under 18s Disco at a Nightclub. He OUTED ME AS GAY I'm not sure IF he'd been Dared to do it by some Idiot. Either way I cannot forgive the DJ for doing it, It was cruel and unjust. After he OUTED me I got lots of hassle off straight lads in the club & I should have complained to the Manager about the DJ. One of my Female school friends offered me a lift home that night after the disco finished just so I didn't get lynched. Turned out accepting that lift home was the most sensible thing I could have done that night. I have NEVER denied who and what I am & I guess thats what got up some peoples noses. I couldn't go anywhere in my home town without being called QUEER or other abusive names by lowlife scum. I got my nose broken by a punch from behind in one attack I knew I was DIFFERENT when I was at Infants/Junior S...

End The Stigma Of HIV (On the Gay Scene)

Image
August 2022 will be the 21st anniversary of my HIV Diagnosis. I got RAPED by someone I'd met online who said he could accomodate me for a few days as I was escaping a violent relationship. He threw me out the morning after the attack that spoke volumes to me. The attack made me question WHO everyone really was online It made me wary of Gay Dating websites after that I didn't report the attack to the Police as it was a case of my word against his. I managed to get lodgings in a DAMP tower block for 2 months before I got my own flat. I still had to put up with seeing my attacker in bars on the Gay scene. I remember friends of the guy who attacked me in a bar backing him up with comments like this. Steves a nice chap he wouldn't harm anyone Well I'm afraid he did HARM ME and Its not something I'm ever likely to forget or forgive. The attack happened in Januar...
